Poin Xtra (previously Poin Cinta) is a loyalty program provided to individual CIMB Niaga customers who maintain and increase their savings account balances, do e-channel transactions, use CIMB Niaga Debit, purchase wealth management products and apply for mortgage loans.
In addition, Poin Xtra also given to credit card customers who do transactions and/or open a new credit card account (previously called Credit Card Reward Points).
| 4. ||What types of savings accounts and credit cards earn Poin Xtra? |
The following savings accounts earn Poin Xtra: Tabungan CIMB Niaga Xtra (including X-tra payroll perusahaan and X-tra mahasiswa), CIMB Preferred Account, CIMB Private Banking Account, Tabungan Junior / iB Junior, Tabungan Usaha, Tabungan CIMB Niaga e-Xtra and Rekening Giro / Giro iB Syariah in Indonesian rupiah (IDR).
The following credit cards earn Poin Xtra: Classic Card, Gold Card, Platinum Card, World Card, Infinite Card and Syariah Card.
| 5. ||What are the provisions for awarding Savings Poin Xtra in terms of average monthly balance increases in average monthly balance, and bonus points?|
Poin Xtra will be awarded if an average monthly balance amounts to at least Rp 1 million.
A monthly average balance of Rp. 1 million will earn a customer 10 points ((Rp 1 miilion)/(Rp 100 thousand)= 10 Poin Xtra), while if a monthly average balance is Rp 900 thousand, no points will be awarded.
| 7. ||Is there a minimum value for e-channel transactions in order to earn Poin Xtra from savings?|
There is no minimum transaction value. Poin Xtra are awarded for each payment and purchase made, and transfer to other banks, by means of CIMB Clicks, Go Mobile and Phone Banking (14041 or Preferred/Private Phone Banking 500 800), as well as for CIMB Niaga Debit Card transactions (at a CIMB Niaga EDC machine) and RekeningPonsel/Cellphone Account transactionsfor each purchase, payment and transfer to another RekeningPonsel/Cellphone Account that is not registered in the CIMB Niaga Customer Information File (CIF).
| 8. ||Do credit card payments through e-channelsearn Poin Xtra?|
CIMB Niaga, as well as other bank, credit card payments made by means of CIMB Clicks, Go Mobile and Phone Banking will earn Points.
| 11. ||How are Poin Xtra calculated in terms of purchasing Wealth Management products, in particular the Bancassurance product?|
For each purchase of a Bancassurance product, Poin Xtra will be credited to the customer in the following month (regardless of the free look period). If a customer cancels an insurance product purchase, then the Poin Xtra that have been credited for the purchase in question will be re-debited from the customer. In the event that these Poin Xtra have already been used by the customer, CIMB Niaga will debit the customer’s Poin Xtra from the following month until settled.
| 14. ||How does the Poin Xtra redeem mechanism work at an ATM?|
The customer enters the gift code into the ATM. A voucher is then sent directly to the physical address of the customer as recorded in the Bank’s system. Before exchanging points, the customer must ensure that his or her address, as recorded in the Bank’s system, is correct in order to avoid mistakes in the sending of the voucher.
| 15. ||How can the customer find the gift code for exchanging Poin Xtra at an ATM?|
The customer can find certain codes on the ATM screen, while more complete information with regard to these codes is available in brochures, at the www.cimbniaga.com
website, or via Phone banking.
| 17. ||What happens if the total value of purchases at a merchant exceeds the value of the customer’s Poin Xtra?|
The transaction will still proceed. The system will deduct all remaining points and the deficit will then be debited from the customer’s savings account.
Example of an Poin Xtra exchange at a Merchant
- Spending: Rp 95,000,-
- For example, the value of an XtraPoint is:1 Xtra Point = Rp 10,-
- So, the total number of Points required are: Rp 95,000,- / Rp 10 = 9,500 Points.
- o If a customer has 5,000 points. In this case, the system will deduct all these points 5,000 points x Rp 10 = Rp 50,000) and the deficit of Rp 45,000 will be automatically debited from the customer’s savings account.
| 18. ||What happens if the customer’s Poin Xtra exceed the total amount spent at a merchant? |
The system will only deduct Points based on the amount of money spent. Leftover points will be retained and can still be used by the customer.
Example of an Poin Xtra exchange at a Merchant
- Spending: Rp 100.000,-
- For example, the value of an Xtra Point is:1 Xtra Point = Rp 10,-
- So, the total number of Points required are: Rp 100.000,- / Rp 10 = 10.000 Points.
- If a customer has 15,000 points, the system will only deduct 10,000 points.
- The remaining 5,000 points will remain in the system and the customer can use them for other purchases.
| 23. ||What happens if a customer closes their account? |
If a customer has only 1 (one) savings account in line with the Poin Xtra stipulations, then the Poin Xtra will become invalid if the customer closes this account. Such customers are therefore encouraged to exchange/transfer any Poin Xtra before closing their account.
If a customer has more than 1 (one) savings account in line with the Poin Xtra stipulations, then when 1 (one) of these accounts is closed, any Poin Xtra will not become invalid.
| 24. ||How can a customer check how much Poin Xtra from credit card they have? |
Customers can get information on their total amount of Poin Xtra through an IBCC (Internet Banking Credit Card), CIMB Clicks, Phone Banking and merchants/EDC. Only XtraCredit Card Points can be accessed through these means.
| 27. ||How long is the SLA for combining Poin Xtra and Poin Xtra credit card, and for transferring between Poin Xtra and Poin Xtra credit card?|
2 (two) working days.
| 29. ||Can customers redeem gifts from the Poin Xtra credit card catalogue (microsite) by only using Poin Xtra?|
Yes, customers can exchange Poin Xtra for gifts from the Poin Xtra credit card catalogue (microsite) by only using Poin Xtra, and this is possible in reverse too. Customers can redeem Poin Xtra from credit card with vouchers through Phone Banking 14041 or 500800.

| 1. ||Definition of Poin Xtra|
||Poin Xtra is an appreciation program fromPT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (henceforth referred to as the “Bank”)designed specifically for individual Customers who are CIMB Niaga savings account holders (Poin Xtra from savings) and/or CIMB Niagacredit card owners (Xtra Credit Card Points)who fulfil the Criteria for Awarding Poin Xtra, as stipulated in point 2.|
| 2. ||Features of Poin Xtra from savings|
||Poin Xtra from savings are awarded to individual Customers who are account holders of any one of the following rupiah-based accounts: Tabungan CIMB Niaga Xtra/CIMB Niaga Xtra Savings, Tabungan iB Xtra Mudharabah/Mudharabah Xtra iB Savings, CIMB Preferred Account, CIMB Private Banking Account, Tabungan Usaha/Business Savings and Tabungan Payroll Karyawan CIMB Niaga/CIMB Niaga Worker Payroll Savings. |
|2.2||Poin Xtra from savings can be moved or transferred to any other individual Customer who is an account holder of any one of the following rupiah-based accounts: Tabungan CIMB Niaga Xtra/CIMB Niaga Xtra Savings, Tabungan iB Xtra Mudharabah/Mudharabah Xtra iB Savings, CIMB Preferred Account, CIMB Private Banking Account, and Tabungan Usaha/Business Savings.|
|2.3||Customers can exchange Poin Xtra from savings for gifts through an ATM or by Phone Banking.|
|2.4||Poin Xtra from savings can be used for shopping at partner merchants (which have a CIMB Niaga EDC facility).|
|2.5||Information pertaining to the total amount of Poin Xtra from savings available as well as the 10 most recent Poin Xtra from savings transactions is widely accessible by means of ATM, CIMB Clicks, and Phone Banking as well as in acombined statement for CIMB Preferred and Private Banking customers.|
| 3. ||Criteria for Awarding Poin Xtra from savings|
||Poin Xtra from savings are awarded to individual Customers who have a savings product (core product) and do one or more of the following: maintain or increase their balance, conduct e-channel transactions (purchases, payments, and transfers to other banks), use a CIMB Niaga Debit Card at a CIMB Niaga EDC facility, purchase Wealth Management products, perform Rekening Ponsel Account transactions (purchases, payments, and transfers to other Rekening Ponsel not registered in the CIMB Niaga CIF), or have taken out mortgage loans through CIMB Niaga. Henceforth such individuals shall be referred to as “Customers”).|
||Provisions for Awarding Poin Xtra from savings:
*) An Unbank Rekening Ponsel is a Rekening Ponsel that is not registered in the CIMB Niaga Customer Information File (CIF). In this case, points are awarded for a maximum of only 5 transfers to other Rekening Ponsel in one month.
Notes on Mortgage Loan Poin Xtra:
- Valid for Mortgage Loan applications from 16 September – December 2013
- Valid for all types of CIMB Niaga Mortgage Loan facilities and productsin line with the tiered ceilings in the table above
- Not valid for loans given to CIMB Niaga employees
- Poin Xtra for Mortgage Loan applications already approved in line with the ceilings above will be awarded to customers who have a savings product in accordance with the Poin Xtra provisions.
||Points calculations for Savings (average monthly balances, increases in average monthly balances, and bonus points) are made for customers who have an average monthly balance of at least Rp 1 Million (one million rupiah).|
||For each purchase of a Bancassurance product, Poin Xtra will be credited to the customer in the following month (regardless of the free look period). If a customer cancels a Bancassurance product purchase, then the Poin Xtra that have been credited for the purchase in question will be re-debited from the customer. |
||The Bank is entitled to change some or all of the Criteria for Awarding Poin Xtra from savings as stipulated in point 2 in line with the programs it carries out. In such a case, the Bank will inform its customers of this matter. |
| 4. ||Criteria for Awarding Poin Xtra from Credit Card|
|There have been no changes to the ways in which Poin Xtra from Credit Card can be obtained, and these are still based on the prevailing stipulations.
| 5. ||Combining Poin Xtra from savings & Credit Card |
||Poin Xtra from Savings & Credit Card can be combined via Phone Banking 14041 and 500800, with several schemes as follows:
- Exchangefora gift/voucher from either the Poin Xtra from credit card catalogue (microsite) or a voucher from the Poin Xtra from savings catalogue by combining Poin Xtra from savings with a Credit Card (only valid for 1 CIF) via Phone Banking
- Exchange Poin Xtra from savings for a gift from the Credit Card catalogue (microsite) via Phone Banking
- Exchange Poin Xtra from credit cardfor an Poin Xtra from savings gift voucher via Phone Banking
||Transfers of Poin Xtra from savings to Poin Xtra from credit card and vice-versa (only valid for1 CIF) can be done via Phone Banking.
| 6. ||Easy to Access and Transfer Poin Xtra |
|Enjoy the convenience of accessing Poin Xtra from savings & Credit Card anytime, anywhere
*) Poin Xtra will be deducted based on the amount spent at a merchant with a CIMB NiagaEDC machine. If there are not enough points to make a purchase, the deficit will be made up bydebiting your savings account.
**) Poin Xtra + account debit is a way of redeeming gifts for a pre-determined number of points in addition to a nominal amount debited from your savings account. The exchange of a pre-determined number of Poin Xtra + account debit at participating merchants is only valid for the period of this promotion.
For CIMB Preferred and CIMB Private Banking customers only, information is available on Poin Xtra Totals and transactions in the form of a Combined Statement.

| 7. ||Redemption of Poin Xtra |
||Poin Xtra from savings can be redeemed via ATMs and Phone Banking as well as through Debit Card transactions at merchants that use a CIMB Niaga EDC facility. |
||Poin Xtra from credit card can be redeemed via Phone Banking, the microsite as well by transactions at merchants. |
||Only for the redemption of Poin Xtra from savings through an ATM, Customers can choose a gift from those listed in the brochure or at the CIMB Niaga website (www.cimbniaga.com).
- The process of delivering gifts will take no longer than 14 (fourteen) working days after points have been exchanged. (By “working days” what is meant is days on which the Bank is open and Bank Indonesia performs clearing activities)
- Gifts will only be delivered to a customer’s address as registered in the Bank’s system and cannot be sent to a different address. In the case of a change of address, customers must update the relevant data by visiting their nearest CIMB Niaga branch.
||Poin Xtra that have already been exchanged or transferred cannot be cancelled.|
||A customer is obliged to inform the Bank, via Phone Banking or at a CIMB Niaga branch, if a gift that was ordered has not arrived more than 14 (fourteen) working days after points were exchanged.|
||Any delay in the delivery of gifts is the responsibility of the delivery service company involved and is not the responsibility of the Bank, unless it can be proven that the delay in question was due to the Bank’s mistake or negligence. |
| 8. ||Poin Xtra Program Complaints Handling |
||The Bank will accommodate any customer complaints in connection with the delivery of gifts, and will then forward these to the delivery service company responsible for settling the problem in question. |
||Gifts already selected are not refundable or redeemable for cash or other gifts.|
||The Bank reserves the right to change the gifts available at any time. If, for any reason, supplies of certain gifts are not available and the Bank is unable to order or replace the gifts in question with products of similar quality and value, the Bank has the right to stop offering Poin Xtra gifts in its catalogue and/or on its website. The Bank will duly notify Customers of this matter. |
| 9. ||Poin Xtra Validity Period|
||Poin Xtra that have been earned will expire in the following circumstances:
- Customer closes his/her Savings Account.
- Points are not redeemed within their validity period (2 years after being credited) or by the time the program has ended.
||Poin Xtra from savings will begin to be counted from March 2013 |
||Poin Xtra from credit cardwill begin to be counted from their date of validity on 16 September 2013|
||Customers can submit all questions pertaining to the implementation of the Poin Xtra program directly to Phone Banking 14041 (RegularCustomers) and/or 500800 (CIMB Niaga Preferred and Private Banking Customers)|
||This Poin Xtra program cannot be combined with any other promotional program.|
||All the provisions included in these Terms and Conditions constitute a single unit inseparable from all the stipulations and information conveyed by the Bank to its Customers in the form of, but not limited to, customer letters, brochures, posters as well as other media determined by the Bank.|
||The Terms and Conditions of the Poin Xtra program, as conveyed above, can be changed at any time. Should this happen, customers will be informed of the changes in question 7 (seven) working days before they go into effect, through branches or by other methods considered appropriate by the Bank. |
||The Bank is not responsible for any incidents out of its control (force majeure) such as, but not limited to, natural disasters, demonstrations or unrest that cause damage to equipment, or policy changes by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia that affect the Bank’s ability to runthe Poin Xtra program.|
|These Terms and Conditions afford the Bank the full right and authority to delay or cancel at any time the Poin Xtra program after giving prior notice to its Customers. The Customer, in turn, agrees not to sue and/or prosecute the Bank in any way.||
